From today, Works in Progress is now in stock at Barnes & Nobles nationwide across America.
We’re in 570 stores in 49 states*, including the flagship stores at Union Square & Fifth Avenue in NYC; Georgetown, DC; State Street, Chicago; The Grove, Los Angeles; and the Barnes & Noble branches at San Francisco Airport.
We’re also now in Hudson News outlets across most major US airports, and a handful of independent newsagents in New York, Paris, Berlin, Los Angeles, and London including magCulture in Clerkenwell (from tomorrow) and Shreeji News on Chiltern St.
If you Substack Note, Tweet, LinkedIn, or Instagram a photo of your copy of Works in Progress outside any of these stores, share the post with us and we’ll send you a free tote bag as a thank you. If you’re a subscriber already, feel free to do it with your own copy!
You can see a full map of Barnes & Noble stockists here, and enter your Zip code to find your nearest store.
*Sorry, Wyoming, we’ll get to you!

This is great. Always prefer to just stop by the store during errands. Hopefully you can stay stock in the full B&N network unlike some similar small publications that have had to pull back to being stocked only at flagships
Wow it was weird to see a magazine this cool in stock in person. This will make it so much easier to recommend, because friends who want to try it can sample the print publication at B&N and then but it if they want, instead of having to borrow mine (which I only got recently) and buy online. Really cool!
